As Cairo expanded Abba Rewase ground was surrounded by the city.
In 1937, the Coptic Papacy was requested to remove the interred bodies. The government
compensated the Copts by giving them "the Red Mountain" ground.
After this a larg building was set up at 1943 which now contains, St. Mark's Hall, The Bishopry
of scientific Research and Higher Education, the Bishopry of Public Relations
and Social Service,and Bishopry of youth in the first floor and the higher institute for coptic studies in the second floor. |
